An ANSA delegation led by Director General Radu Mustjace met in Vinnitsa with Serghei Tcaciuc, head of the State Service for Food Safety and Consumer Protection. The Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to Ukraine Victor Chirili participated in the dialog between the parties.
The visit resulted in the approval of new samples of sanitary-veterinary certificates for animal feed and poultry meat, which were thoroughly checked and harmonized with the latest international standards and European Union legislation. The new sample certificates guarantee strict compliance with sanitary-veterinary and safety requirements, providing a higher level of protection for the health of consumers and livestock.
“The renewal of veterinary certificates for poultry meat and feed represents a concrete step towards the harmonization of the legal framework of the Republic of Moldova and the European Union. It is a measure that not only facilitates trade, but also provides a solid basis for ensuring that public health and food safety remain absolute priorities in bilateral trade relations. We highly appreciate the cooperation with the competent authority of Ukraine and we will continue our efforts to protect consumers’ health and develop new opportunities for business environment both in Moldova and Ukraine,” Radu Mustjaca said.
An important item of the meeting was the coordination of measures for the prevention and control of infectious animal diseases, focusing on the monitoring of African swine fever, highly pathogenic avian influenza and rabies in the border areas.
