Official statistics, according to the NBS, will provide data on structural indicators of social cohesion of the Moldovan population (relative level of poverty, level of material and social deprivation, index of income inequality) in conditions of European comparability.

The NBS will conduct the study annually. The target group of the study includes all persons aged 16 years and older. The questionnaire and methodology of the study will be piloted in 2026 (field data collection will take place in May this year) with the aim of launching the study as an annual statistical exercise from 2027 onwards.
