The management of the Association Moldova Fruct reports, referring to the data of the customs service, that almost 90% of external deliveries of Moldovan apples in April fell on two countries: Russia – about 5.9 thousand tons, Romania – 3.6 thousand tons. The remaining 10% of exports were distributed among a dozen countries – a few trucks each. One of them (20 tons of cargo) reached Iceland.
Remains of marketable apple in the warehouses of agricultural and trading enterprises, according to the operators of the fruit market of Moldova, are still significant – tens of thousands of tons. By the end of the marketing season (early July) they will be realized. But it is not a fact that on the internal and external markets of “fresh apple”. Probably, part of the production will go for processing.
