On the Polish Cennik Rolnicze exchange, the average price for live hogs will drop to 4.27 zlotys/kg (€1/kg), compared to the current average price of 4.49 zlotys/kg (€1.05/kg). The price range for live pigs will be 3.70–5.00 zlotys/kg (€0.87–1.17/kg), and this week, it is 3.80–5.30 zlotys/kg (€0.89–1.24/kg).

“In May 2026, there was no seasonal price adjustment in the EU: following a €0.10/kg price reduction in Germany, the market declined across the entire union. Current prices: Spain – €1.29/kg, France – €1.27, Germany – €1.25, the Netherlands – €1.18, Denmark – €1.11. And this is with an estimated production cost of about €1.37/kg. “Producers across the EU are operating at a loss,” note experts at ukragroconsult.

Cheap European pork continues to put pressure on Ukraine’s domestic market. As a result, purchase prices for live pigs during the period of June 22–28, 2026, will range from 70 to 71 hryvnias per kilogram (€1.36–1.38 per kilogram). This is 4–5 hryvnias/kg (€0.08–0.1/kg) less than last week, according to the Meat Industry Association.

In Moldova, pork prices (half-carcasses) currently stand at 39–40 lei/kg (€1.96–2.01/kg). This is the lowest price since 2016, according to Agroexpert, citing a statement by Adrian Burduja, chairman of the Moldovan Pork Producers Association.
