Poland retains status of the largest food supplier to Ukraine

According to the results of 2025, the share of Poland in the import of agro-food products to Ukraine amounted to 42% - it is slightly less than the total share of the nearest competitors (Germany and Turkey), reports Logos Press.

Last year, Poland sold $1151 million worth of agricultural goods to Ukraine, which is 24% more than the figure for 2024 ($925 million).

Since 2017, Poland has held the first place in the ranking of the main suppliers of agricultural products to Ukraine, the National Research Center Institute of Agrarian Economics said, citing information from the State Customs Service.

In total, last year, the share of the top ten countries supplying these goods to Ukraine, located below Poland in the list, accounted for 54% of all imports. At the same time, the share of EU countries for the seventh consecutive year exceeded half of Ukrainian imports of agro-food products. In 2025, the value of supplies from the EU to Ukraine increased by 15% to $4.914bn.

The volume of food supplies to the Ukrainian market from Asian countries last year amounted to $1635m (17.9%), Latin America – $693m (7.6%), Africa – $489m (5.4%).
