The Moldovan government approved an agreement with France on the International Volunteering in Enterprises Program.
This program provides young citizens aged 18 to 28 from France and the European Economic Area with the opportunity to undertake professional internships of up to six months in branches of French companies in the Republic of Moldova or their partners.
The program will contribute not only to the implementation of joint projects, but also to the strengthening of bilateral economic ties and talent attraction.
It should be recalled that at the last parliamentary session in 2025, MPs adopted a new law on volunteering in the second reading. It allows Moldovan citizens and foreigners to participate in international volunteer programs, provides a legal framework for their activity, guarantees the continuation of students’ studies after periods of international volunteering, etc.
According to the law, foreign volunteers are provided with the possibility to reside on the territory of the Republic of Moldova for the duration of the volunteer contract.
“For the period of stay, the Moldovan side will issue to the participants of the program a residence permit or a resident card,” specified Daniela Misail-Nikitin, Minister of Internal Affairs.
