Thus, on May 16, the National Museum of History of Moldova will host a ceremony of awarding prizes in the field of museums. And on May 17, museums all over the country will work late and offer visitors a rich program: exhibitions, concerts, creative master classes, dance performances, fairs of folk artisans, theatrical performances, choreographic performances, film screenings, poetry evenings.
The events will take place in all national museums, including the Museum of History, the Museum of Art, the Museum of Nature and Ethnography, the Pushkin House Museum, as well as in regional institutions, historical mansions, and public spaces.
As early as May 18, the public will be invited to participate in educational and recreational activities for all ages.
This year special attention is paid to the transition of museum institutions to more accessible and interactive models. For the first time, the concept of “virtual museum” was introduced into the national legislation, thus officially recognizing the role of new technologies in facilitating public access to exhibits and diversifying the forms of museum activities.
