The CNA press office reported this in the Anti-Corruption Center’s weekly activity report.
In addition, CNA officials reported that seven new criminal cases had been opened and recommended that 15 cases be referred to court. Currently, three people are being held in the center’s detention facility, while another 14 individuals accused in cases under the CNA’s jurisdiction are being held in preventive detention at correctional facilities.
During the same period, the Agency for the Recovery of Criminal Assets (ARBI) confiscated 14 real estate properties worth approximately 5.5 million lei as part of a case involving smuggling, drug trafficking, unauthorized land use, passive corruption, and fraud. The confiscated assets include share capital, 2 buildings, 5 rooms, and 6 land plots. At the same time, the Agency took control of 243,000 lei and deposited more than 1.5 million lei into treasury accounts.
In the area of corruption prevention, the CNA provided 28 expert opinions and 2 opinions on draft regulations to drafters. Approximately 900 people participated in anti-corruption training sessions organized by the CNA’s Department of Anti-Corruption Education, and 92 users from the judicial and tax systems completed a series of practical sessions organized by ARBI on the use of the automated information system “Register of Confiscated Criminal Assets” (SIA RBII).
The National Anti-Corruption Hotline received 72 calls, and the agency’s office registered 1,821 documents.
