Three authorization documents—a market operator license, a permit to operate a regulated market, and a permit to operate a multilateral trading facility—have been issued for an indefinite term.

The NSCF also approved the Rules of the Regulated Market and the Rules of the Multilateral Trading Facility, which are administered and managed by “BURSA INTERNATIONAL A MOLDOVEI” SA, thereby establishing the necessary regulatory framework for the organization and operation of the two trading systems.

The NSC also confirmed the participation of five entities in the authorized capital of “BURSA INTERNATIONAL A MOLDOVEI” SA:

The Bucharest Stock Exchange “Bursa de Valori București” – 26.67%;

The Public Property Agency – 20.00%;

“DONARIS Vienna Insurance Group” SA – 11.67%;

Insurance company “GRAWE CARAT Asigurări” SA – 10.00%;

“MOLDOVA-AGROINDBANK” SA Commercial Bank – 10.00%.

In total, the qualifying holdings approved by the National Commission for Financial Regulation (NCFR) amount to 78.34% of the market operator’s share capital.

At the same time, Veronica Arpintin was confirmed as chair of the market operator’s executive body for a three-year term, and Andrian Yastremski was confirmed as vice chair of the executive body for the same term.

The official entry into the Moldovan market of an authorized market operator with a regulated market and a multilateral trading facility has thus taken place.

The market operator will carry out its activities within the framework of the existing legal framework and under the supervision of the NSC, in order to “ensure the proper, transparent, and effective functioning of the capital market infrastructure,” according to a statement from the agency on this matter.
