
The program will begin at 8:30 a.m. with a wreath-laying ceremony at the “Grieving Mother” monument on the grounds of the “Eternity” Memorial Complex. At 9:30 a.m., flowers will be laid at the monument to Prince Stefan cel Mare.
Events commemorating Independence Day will continue at the Great National Assembly Square. At 4:30 p.m., a military parade will take place, featuring more than 2,000 military personnel and representatives from various agencies. The parade will feature more than 100 pieces of military and specialized equipment currently in service with the National Army and the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
At 6:00 p.m., a festive concert will begin at the Great National Assembly Square.
The Republic of Moldova declared its independence on August 27, 1991, when the parliament adopted the Declaration of Independence.
