The Czech Republic wants to buy chocolate, honey, furniture, and dried fruit from Moldova

Czech companies are interested in importing honey, dried fruit, furniture, chocolate, and spirits from the Republic of Moldova. The topic was discussed by representatives of the business communities of Moldova and the Czech Republic during a meeting at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova, organized with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova and the Czech Embassy in Chișinău.

In addition to food products and furniture, Czech companies are interested in collaborating with Moldovan firms in the textile industry.

At the same time, Moldova could increase its imports from the Czech Republic. Areas with potential include equipment for the HoReCa sector, leather and other raw materials for the production of footwear and furniture, coffee, and plastic packaging.

Another topic discussed was cooperation with the Polish business community. Tomasz Alot, president of Transworld Business Advisors Poland, presented the opportunities offered by the Polish market to Moldovan entrepreneurs.

According to him, Poland has a stable economic climate and numerous private companies seeking investors or solutions for business succession. For Moldovan entrepreneurs, this could represent an opportunity to enter the EU market by acquiring an existing company, rather than building a business from scratch.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova and Transworld Business Advisors Poland also discussed a possible collaboration to inform Moldovan entrepreneurs about these investment opportunities and to facilitate direct contacts with Polish partners.

The Vice President of the CCI of the Republic of Moldova, Mihai Bîlba, invited the foreign partners to participate in the “PRODUS AUTOHTON expo,” which will take place August 28–30, 2026, as well as in the national exhibition “MADE IN MOLDOVA,” scheduled for late January–early February 2027.
