According to Ukraine’s foreign minister, the main themes of this year’s conference are restoring peace and strengthening Ukraine’s leadership role. As part of the forum, Ukrainian ambassadors will take part in a series of working sessions dedicated to these priorities.

On the opening day of the conference, Mykhailo Popshoy, Andriy Sibiga, and representatives of the Ukrainian diplomatic corps visited the Lukyanivska metro station, which was severely damaged by Russian strikes. The delegation then proceeded to Independence Square (Maidan Nezalezhnosti), where they paid tribute to the Ukrainian servicemen and civilians who lost their lives defending their country’s independence, sovereignty, and freedom.

“For the fifth consecutive year, this unprovoked and unjustified war of aggression has continued to claim lives, tear families apart, and destroy cities and villages. The resistance of the Ukrainian people contributes to the security of the Republic of Moldova and all of Europe. This war must end. We stand in solidarity with Ukraine and remain united in defending peace, freedom, and the right of every nation to determine its own future,” stated Mihai Popșoi.
