Over the course of a week, customs transferred nearly one billion lei to the budget

From July 27 to August 2, 2026, revenues from the Customs Service to the state budget totaled more than 988.7 million lei, which is 117.3% higher than the target for the reporting period.

Since the beginning of this year, the Customs Service has collected approximately 24.5 billion lei for the state budget, which is 102.9% above the target.

At the same time, between July 27 and August 2, 2026, individuals imported goods whose customs value exceeded the tax-free limit, resulting in the collection of approximately 26 million lei, which accounts for 2.6% of the total amount collected during that period.

In addition, 12,324 customs declarations were processed during the reporting period, and the flow of vehicles totaled 99,675 crossings. Leușen and Sculeș remain the busiest transit customs checkpoints, with 21,076 and 16,336 crossings, respectively.
