Thanks to his professionalism, fairness, integrity, and results-oriented leadership, he has contributed to strengthening the agency’s role as a competent, trustworthy, and effective body,” the agency stated in a press release marking the occasion.
At the same time, ANSA reaffirms its commitment to “institutional cooperation with the MAIA Ministry to promote initiatives aimed at strengthening the food safety system, protecting consumer health, and accelerating the process of bringing products into compliance with European Union standards.”
Logos Press previously reported that, in the context of European integration, bringing the legislative and regulatory framework in the field of agri-food safety into compliance with EU standards is one of the most important tasks for the Moldovan authorities. From this perspective, it is both symbolic and telling that, as part of the new government, ANSA Director Radu Musteață has been promoted to the rank of MAIA minister. Now, addressing the agency’s new “personnel challenge” and coordinating its activities with the relevant ministry will become a top priority in the near future.
