The increase in revenue is due to a significant rise in turnover. The airport’s revenue for the year rose from 941.61 million to 1.94 billion lei. Revenue from services and work performed increased by nearly a third—to 1.19 billion lei, compared to 918 million lei a year earlier.

This result placed the airport among the country’s most profitable state-owned enterprises. According to the Public Property Agency, in 2025 it ranked first among state-owned companies in terms of net profit.

The growth in Chisinau Airport’s financial performance coincided with a record increase in passenger traffic. In 2025, the airport served 6.08 million passengers—46.8% more than the previous year.

At the same time, the company’s expenses rose only slightly. Administrative expenses increased by 6.4% to 54.38 million lei.

At the same time, the value of the airport’s assets rose by 35.3% to 2.54 billion lei, compared to 1.88 billion lei the previous year.

It should be noted that the airport remains 100% state-owned. Its authorized capital is 186.75 million lei.
