Tractor drivers and agronomists are the most in-demand jobs in agriculture

The National Employment Agency presented a new top-10 list of the most active employers in Moldova's agricultural sector. The selection includes companies offering official employment, competitive salaries and opportunities for professional growth. The most demanded professions are tractor drivers and agronomists.

The list, based on information from economic agents, included the following employers:

RODFRUCT NECTAR SRL, Nisporeni district (cultivation, storage and realization of fruits and grapes);

ILINA SRL production and trading company, Soroca district (cultivation of cereals and legumes, production of seeds);

Institute of Forest Research and Forest Management, Chisinau (forest research and forest management, management and protection of the forest fund);

REKO-AGRO SRL, Cahul district (crop production);

AGRO-GOGU SRL, Anenii Noi district (cultivation of berries, fruits, nuts and other fruit crops);

ALFA-NISTRU SA, Soroca district (processing and canning of fruits and vegetables);

CIMAGROELIT SRL, Cimislia district (cattle breeding);

SCUTARU GHEORGHE GȚ, Cimislia district (agriculture);

ELVITIS-COM SRL, district Straseni (viticulture);

ROȘCA WINERY SRL, Nisporeni district (viticulture).

According to the agency, salaries in these companies range from 10,000 to 20,000 lei per month, depending on the position and qualifications.

Demand is growing

The most demanded professions are tractor drivers and agronomists. The following professions are also in demand: land engineer, docker-mechanizer, combine harvester, mechanic/automechanic, livestock breeder, fruit and vegetable processing and canning technician, irrigation technician, loader driver, food receiver, process equipment repairman, electrician, refrigeration machine operator, vegetable grower and horticulturist.

Some companies offer employment without experience with on-the-job training, which increases access to the labor market for applicants from rural areas.

The National Employment Agency notes that the agricultural sector remains one of the key employers in the country’s regions and continues to demonstrate stable demand for labor.
