The draft government resolution is intended to ensure compliance with the provisions of Law No. 25/2024 on Trademarks, as well as to implement the National Program for the Republic of Moldova’s Accession to the European Union for 2025–2029, as approved by Government Resolution No. 306/2025 (Action No. 8 of Chapter 7, “Intellectual Property Law,” Cluster 2, “Internal Market”).

Currently, Moldova has in effect the Regulation on the Procedure for Filing, Examination, and Registration of Trademarks, approved by Government Decision No. 488 of August 13, 2009.

This document will be amended to bring it into line with European copyright standards.
