Over the past few years, the waterfront infrastructure in the Transnistrian Park has been modernized in phases. The projects were funded by the municipal governments of Chișinău and Vadul-lui-Vodă.
The Chișinău City Hall states that the area should become a showcase for the country, given its appeal. City authorities have invested approximately 11 million lei in the renovation of the waterfront.
Five kilometers of pedestrian walkways have been built around the resort area. The Dniester embankment now features courts for volleyball, basketball, tennis, chess, and fitness, as well as a jogging track and pedestrian walkways. The Chișinău City Hall co-financed the construction of the Summer Theater, which hosts various cultural and artistic events on both a local and regional scale.
Thanks to the diverse infrastructure along the Dniester Embankment, the Chișinău City Hall has been able to host the “Beach Festival” in Vadul-lui-Vodă, attracting visitors from Chisinau, across the country, and from abroad. For the second year in a row, it has been the main partner of this event.
