The amendments aim to harmonize the secondary regulatory framework with the provisions of the new Law No. 164/2025 on Electricity, the Ministry of Energy said.

The approved amendments are designed to ensure consistency and uniform application of the new legal provisions, including by updating regulatory documents related to the functioning of the electricity market, the regime of protective zones of power grids and other acts related to the electricity sector.

At the same time, the draft includes a number of procedural adjustments necessary to facilitate the implementation of utility projects of national interest in the energy infrastructure sector, especially with regard to the processes of expropriation, cadastral organization and real estate registration.

Construction of power sector facilities will accelerate

In this context, the amendments will contribute to the completion of procedures related to the construction and reconstruction of 110 kV high-voltage transmission lines Drochia-Shuri, Shuri-Donduseni, Chisinau-Hincesti, Hincesti-Cniazevca and Soldanesti-Ignacei, recognized as public utility and of national interest. Vase they have so far encountered certain procedural obstacles, the agency said.

Also, the approved adjustments support the implementation of the strategic project for the construction of the 400 kV Vulcanesti-Chisinau overhead power line and related infrastructure, clarifying procedural aspects and bringing them in line with the updated legal framework.

Thus, by approving these amendments, the Government aims to optimize and simplify the processes necessary for the implementation of strategic projects of national importance in the electricity sector, while ensuring that the secondary regulatory framework is in line with the provisions of the Electricity Law.
