Revenues administered by the STS grew by 13.3% in the first 4 months of 2026

The revenues to the national public budget, administered by the State Tax Service, according to the operational information of the authority, amounted to about 28.7 billion lei in the first 4 months of 2026. This represents an increase of 3.4 billion lei or 13.3% compared to the same period of the previous year.

The highest growth of revenues – by 16.6% – was registered in the state budget. In the first four months of this year, the state budget received about 12.4 billion lei. This is 1.8 billion lei more compared to the same period last year.

Local budgets received about 3.2 billion lei, which is about 375.0 million lei more than in the same period of the previous year. In percentage terms, the growth amounted to 13.2%.

Also, the State Social Insurance Fund received about 9.8 billion lei during the mentioned period, which is by 934.4 million lei more as compared to the same period of the previous year. In other words, the contribution revenues increased by about 10.5%.

The growth of health insurance contributions is almost at the same level. In particular, about 3.3 billion lei were accumulated in the Compulsory Health Insurance Funds (CHIF), up by 298.1 million lei compared to the same period of 2025. This is about 9.9% more than last year’s amount.
