
According to data from the State Customs Service of Ukraine published on June 29, Moldova became the largest importer of Ukrainian butter in the first five months of 2026, accounting for 42.4% of Ukraine’s butter exports.
Azerbaijan ranked second with 19.4%, and Georgia ranked third with 9.5%, the data shows.
Exports of Ukrainian butter from January through May 2026 fell by a factor of 2.1 compared to the same period in 2025, dropping to 3,800 metric tons. In monetary terms, exports fell by a factor of 2.5 to $22.3 million.
In 2025, Ukraine exported 15,000 metric tons of butter—2.1 times more than in 2024—while revenue increased 2.2-fold to $107.4 million. The largest buyers that year were Moldova (31.4%), Azerbaijan (10.2%), and Poland (9.4%).
