The initiative provides for the harmonization of national legislation with the relevant act of the European Union and the creation of more transparent and faster procedures for investors working in the field of “green” technologies.
The key changes include simplified access to public procurement, tax incentives and financing programs, including external support instruments.
“Net-Zero Industry at the European level is a comprehensive concept providing for the development of industries using green materials and equipment. It also envisages faster access of investors to various procedures, including procurement, tax incentives and financing, for example through ODA,” explained Kristina Ceban, State Secretary of the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization, at a meeting of the Parliamentary Commission for European Integration.
The draft law is at the stage of finalization. It is scheduled to be sent to the European Commission in May, and final adoption is expected by the end of this year.
The project is being developed within the cluster on external cooperation and accession to the EU common trade policy.
