The study is conducted annually by the KOF Swiss Economic Institute, Kazinform Agency correspondent reports. The index is positioned as a combined indicator, which allows assessing the scale of integration of a country into the global space. All countries studied within the framework of the Index are evaluated by 24 indicators, united in three main groups of global integration – economic, social and political.
The leading positions in the global ranking are traditionally occupied by European countries. The Netherlands took the first place (88.90 points), followed by Switzerland and Belgium. The top ten also includes Great Britain, Sweden, Austria, Germany, Denmark, France and Finland.
