
A memorandum of cooperation on water resources management and irrigation, as well as the development of sustainable agriculture in the context of climate change, was signed by the Kazakh National University of Water Management and Irrigation, the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University, and the University of Kabul. The document was signed during a visit by a Kazakh delegation to Afghanistan, according to the Kazinform news agency.
The University of Kabul is Afghanistan’s oldest and largest public institution of higher education, founded in 1932. The university comprises 22 faculties and has a broad academic base for interdisciplinary cooperation.
The institution will become the first Kazakhstani-Afghan educational and research organization. The new facility will facilitate the training of specialists, the exchange of knowledge, joint research, and the implementation of modern solutions in the water and agriculture sectors. Kazakhstani scientists and experts will provide educational programs and scientific support.
