Jungietu also reported that during the visit, meetings were held with Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy Mikail Jabbarov and representatives of SOCAR. The parties discussed expanding economic and energy cooperation, prospects for collaboration in the field of renewable energy, and the implementation of strategic regional projects.
According to the minister, discussions with SOCAR focused on the prospects for supplying petroleum products and natural gas to Moldova on competitive terms, as well as opportunities to attract Azerbaijani investment into the country’s energy sector.
Particular attention was paid to regional projects in the field of green energy, including the “Azerbaijan–Georgia–Romania–Hungary – Green Energy Corridor” project, which provides for the transmission of electricity generated from renewable sources to the European market.
