According to the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU), over the past 24 hours, rescue workers and firefighters have responded to 13 incidents to extinguish fires involving dry vegetation.
In this regard, the IGSU warns the people of Moldova that burning dry vegetation, stubble, and plant debris in fields poses a serious danger to the environment, material resources, and human lives. Fires can spread rapidly, engulfing farmland, forests, and residential buildings.
