“It is very important that, when flying objects or parts of them are discovered, this be reported immediately to 112. This will allow all relevant agencies to respond to the scene. And my appeal to citizens: under no circumstances should you approach these objects or attempt to move them. It is extremely important that the police arrive and cordon off the area,” said the Minister of Internal Affairs.
The Minister of Internal Affairs also spoke about the implementation of the MD-Alert warning system. According to her, the system’s concept was approved earlier this year; however, a number of procedures must be completed before it can be launched, including additional consulting services.
“By the end of 2027, we should have a fully functional system,” said the Minister of Internal Affairs. She added that an agency to develop the software still needs to be selected.
As a reminder, on March 18, the government approved the concept for the MD-Alert alert system, which will allow authorities to quickly warn people about emergencies via cell phones. The cost of implementing the system is estimated at approximately 5 million euros.
