EDIH Moldova will help small and medium-sized enterprises with the digitalisation of their businesses

Moldova’s first and only European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH Moldova) is launching a call for proposals on 1 September to support the digitalisation of small and medium-sized enterprises and public institutions. The total cost of the service package is €8,357, of which 50 per cent is co-financed by the European Union. Consequently, the beneficiary’s contribution amounts to €4,178.50.

As part of the first call for applications at national level, 40 places are available: 30 for SMEs and 10 for public bodies. They will gain access to the comprehensive ‘Start Digital 360°’ service package. This is a 12-month digital transformation programme comprising 164 hours of services.

The package includes a wide range of support for businesses undergoing digital transformation – from assessing an organisation’s digital status and identifying needs to skills development, mentoring, establishing contacts with experts and technology solutions, as well as advice on accessing finance.

At national level, mechanisms are being analysed through which beneficiaries’ contributions could be supported by government instruments. However, at the time of the call for proposals, there is no existing government mechanism for such co-financing.

EDIH Moldova is co-funded by the European Union and provides small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as public sector organisations, with access to assessment services, technology testing, digital skills development, expert support and assistance in preparing investments in digitalisation.
