According to him, the number of beneficiaries of compensated medicines on the left bank of Nistru river has doubled.

“If in 2024 we were talking about about 4,500 people, in 2025 we are already talking about more than 8,000 citizens with access to compensated medicines. Also, more than 50,000 residents of this region are registered in the lists of family doctors,” Ion Dodon said.

The CEO specified that the current list of compensated medicines today includes 173 international non-proprietary names, which corresponds to almost 1,200 commercial names.

“In four years, state expenditures on reimbursed medicines have increased by 80%. In 2025, these expenditures amounted to 1.2 billion lei. This means that the resources of the compulsory health insurance fund are directed to support socially vulnerable people, elderly people and people with chronic diseases, reducing their expenses on medicines,” Ion Dodon said.

The head of the CNAM emphasized that the institution continues to invest in the medical infrastructure across the country. In 2025, more than 80 investment projects were implemented to renovate, increase energy efficiency and improve working conditions in public medical institutions in both urban and rural areas.
