Azerbaijan is interested in Moldova’s experience in viticulture and winemaking

Azerbaijan has expressed interest in using Moldovan advanced technologies and know-how in viticulture and winemaking, Deputy Agriculture Minister Ilhama Gadimova said.

The deputy minister made this statement during a meeting with Sergiu Gerciu, Secretary General of the Moldovan Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, who was in Azerbaijan within the framework of the 19th Azerbaijan International Agricultural Exhibition (Caspian Agro) and the 31st Azerbaijan International Food Industry Exhibition (InterFood Azerbaijan).

Gadimova spoke in detail about the Caspian Agro exhibition, the current state of the agricultural sector and state support mechanisms for farmers.

The Deputy Minister emphasized that agriculture is one of the most promising areas of cooperation between the two countries, noting Moldova’s rich history and its successful experience in viticulture and winemaking. She noted Azerbaijan’s interest in acquiring advanced technologies and Moldova’s experience in this field.

Gerciu, for his part, emphasized that Moldova considers Azerbaijan a friendly country and is interested in expanding cooperation in all sectors. He noted a significant potential for deepening cooperation in agriculture.

Both sides expressed mutual interest in strengthening agricultural cooperation.
