The Government approved the concept of the information system “National Platform of Open Educational Resources“. This initiative, along with electronic teaching aids, fits into the process of digital transformation of the education system.
Open access for students, parents and teachers
The new platform will function as a centralized national repository of open digital resources in education, accessible to a wide range of users and in line with the national curriculum.
The platform is designed for students, parents and teachers. It will provide equal access to quality educational content and will facilitate cooperation between authors and institutions, as well as support pedagogical innovations.
The platform will be launched by the end of June
Education and Research Minister Dan Perciun said at a government meeting that the platform is planned to be launched by the end of June this year.
The introduction of the e-platform will contribute to the modernization of the educational process by improving the digital skills of pupils and consolidating the digital educational infrastructure.
The system is being developed within the framework of the program “Promoting quality education and lifelong learning opportunities for all”.
The initiative to develop the platform is funded by the European Union and implemented by UNICEF under the auspices of the United Nations.
The cost of the platform development is about 150 thousand euros.
