ANRE criticized for inefficiency in diesel crisis

Our Party deputy Sergei Ivanov criticized the position of the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) and the reaction of state institutions to the problems reported by farmers in the context of the diesel fuel crisis, citing a specific case of supplying fuel at a price higher than what was originally paid.

Serghei Ivanov said that a farmer paid in advance for diesel fuel at the price of 17.50 lei per liter, but the goods were delivered several months later at a recalculated price of 29 lei. The MP said he reported the case to ANRE and the Competition Council, but the authorities did not intervene in the incident in any way.

“The argumentation was as follows: they say that ANRE representatives say: ‘You see, well, we will do it, we’ll see. Wait a bit.” I called the Competition Council as well. What does that even mean? They told me that “measures will be taken”. They tell me to file complaints. But wait a minute: if you see a person being beaten up on the street, does he have to file a complaint first for you to intervene? What kind of country do we live in?”, – said Sergei Ivanov.

The deputy also criticized the level of salaries in regulatory institutions, comparing them with the level of responsibility and response of these structures to the problems of citizens.

“Please tell me why that person from ANRE gets a salary of 100,000 lei? I receive 15,600 lei, I participate in the legislative process and initiate inspections myself,” Ivanov said.

Finally, the Our Party deputy accused the authorities of limiting themselves to promises without offering concrete solutions for agrarians and the business environment.

“In promises they are the best and the strongest, but in practice – zero. Solutions exist, they just don’t want to listen,” concluded Sergey Ivanov.
