The new regulations make it easier for agricultural producers to obtain permits to use plant protection products for crops with limited distribution (products for niche markets). As a result, farmers will have the tools they need to combat diseases and pests affecting niche crops.
The decision was based on an analysis of practices in EU countries, the product range, and farmers’ needs.
