This is provided for in the amendments to the legislation of the Republic of Moldova adopted by the government on June 24. The new provisions create clearer and more effective conditions for the development of modern cross-border energy infrastructure, including power transmission lines, smart grids, and other strategic projects that contribute to enhancing the independence and resilience of the national energy system.
To reduce red tape and accelerate investment, the approved amendments introduce coordinated authorization mechanisms, clear deadlines for issuing permits, and designate a single point of contact to facilitate interaction between investors and government authorities.
The amendments also provide for higher standards of transparency and public consultation to ensure that citizens and all stakeholders are informed and involved from the early stages of strategic energy project development.
