
Funding applications for 98 growers were approved in 2026, MAIA noted.
Effective April 9, 2026, a new Independent Agricultural Working Capital component is available under the Agricultural Loan Program. It finances the ongoing resource needs of agricultural businesses to support the production process. The maximum amount available under this component of the FCA program is LE 500 thousand per beneficiary. As of May 31, 2026, 54 enterprises received funds under this project line for a total amount of MDL 20.28 million.
Recrediting under FCA
The total amount of re-credited funds under the FCA program is MDL 507.50 million, of which MDL 59.12 million were disbursed in May 2026. At the same time, grant support related to the loans granted amounts to LE 54.52 million, including LE 3.47 million disbursed in May.
Out of the total amount of resources provided under FCA, a share of 66.58% was used for so-called conventional (traditional) agriculture (grant component – 5%). Conservation agriculture accounts for 10.13% of the allocated resources (grant component – 15%).
Post-harvest processing of agricultural products received 19.29% of FCA resources (grant component – 30%).
Independent agricultural working capital accounts for 4% of the total resources provided and does not include the grant component.
Regionally, most of the funded requests of beneficiaries from the agricultural sector were concentrated in the northern region of the country (280 projects, 48.19% of the total). In the central region, 203 requests were funded (34.94%), and in the southern region – 98 requests (16.87%).
In order to continue financing eligible projects of micro and small enterprises in 2026, funds in the amount of MDL 163,02 million (for the credit part) and MDL 29,48 million (for the grant part related to loans) are available.
The FCA program offers refinancing funds in Moldovan lei at a fixed rate of 5.1% per annum for final beneficiaries. As of end-April 2026, the financial advantage of these resources compared to average interest rates on loans in the banking sector averaged 6.87 percentage points.
