The total budget of their proposed investment projects amounts to 598.65 million lei, while the amount of requested grants is 295.65 million lei.
Applications for AGGRI grants refer to the following areas of the agri-food sector of RM:
- Poultry – 10 applications, grants amounting to 45,37 million lei.
- Cattle – 9 applications, grants worth 187,16 million lei.
- Pig breeding – 1 application, grant in the amount of 1.78 million lei.
- Sheep and goat breeding – 1 application, grant worth 17.30 million lei.
- Horticulture – 2 applications, grants worth 18.54 million lei.
- Vegetable growing – 6 applications, grants worth 25.5 million lei.
Most of the applications were received from producers with residence in Chisinau municipality (9 applications) and Balti (4 applications), as well as from Edinet (6 applications), Hincesti and Orhei districts (3 applications each). One application each was received from farmers from Cahul, Floresti, Ungheni and Comrat districts.
The grant can be up to 50% of the investment amount, with a maximum amount of $1 million.
The AGGRI project is financed by the World Bank and contributes to strengthening the agricultural sector in the Republic of Moldova through improved food safety management, livestock development and rehabilitation of irrigation systems.
