The largest export value was recorded in the electrical equipment category at $496.8 million, followed by fruits and vegetables ($489.1 million), furniture ($127.9 million), fats and oils ($122.4 million) and wines and beverages ($100.4 million).

Together, these categories account for almost half of Moldovan exports to the European market. The data show that Moldovan exports to the EU are supported by both industrial products, such as electrical equipment and furniture, and agricultural and agri-food products, such as vegetable products, fats and oils, wines and beverages.

In the period from January to November 2025, the main destinations of Moldovan exports to the European Union were Romania (29.2%), Italy (9.2%), Czech Republic (8.3%), Germany (4%) and Bulgaria (3.5%).

The share of exports to the European Union in 2025 amounted to 68.1% of Moldova’s total exports. This is an increase compared to the previous years: 67.3% in 2024, 65.4% in 2023 and 58.6% in 2022.

The dynamics shows a gradual increase in the share of the European market in the total volume of Moldovan exports. This share, it should be noted, is increasing against the background of a shrinking segment of CIS countries, which is constantly decreasing, with a roughly stable percentage of third countries, such as Turkey, for example.

In total, the export of goods from Moldova last year amounted to $3 billion 782.7 million, which is 6.4% more compared to 2024.
