Вице-премьер по евроинтеграции Кристина Герасимов
This came after the 27 member states of the Commonwealth approved a common negotiating position today and decided to convene the third Moldova–European Union Intergovernmental Conference.
The announcement was made by Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gerasimov. The meeting will take place on July 14 in Brussels.
“Today’s decision confirms that Moldova is continuing the accession process on the basis of its own merits, with the unanimous support of all EU member states,” she said.
The Moldovan delegation to the Intergovernmental Conference will be led by Acting Prime Minister Eugen Osmocescu.
The meeting is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. Moldovan time. Following its conclusion, at 7:30 p.m., a joint press conference will be held with the participation of European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos, Ireland’s Minister for European Affairs and Defense Thomas Björn, and Moldova’s Acting Prime Minister Eugen Osmocesk.
Cluster 6, “External Relations,” covers areas such as the common foreign and security policy, trade policy, and the Union’s external relations.
Moldova opened the first cluster of negotiations on accession to the European Union—Cluster 1, “Core Values”—on June 15, 2026, during the second EU-Republic of Moldova Intergovernmental Conference, held in Luxembourg.
