Mr. Iorga is a licensed lawyer.
According to information published on the AGEPI website, Iulian Iorga is an authorized representative in the field of intellectual property. In 2015, he was awarded the AGEPI trophy “The most active authorized representative of the year”, as he filed the most applications for registration of industrial property objects.
The former director, Eugeniu Rusu, was appointed on September 8, 2021. He was relieved on January 23, 2026, based on his resignation. The resignation was preceded by a collective petition by the Association of Moldovan Copyright Holders calling for his resignation, citing “serious reasons affecting institutional integrity, administrative transparency and the creative community’s trust in the national authority in the field of intellectual property.”
The director’s duties have since been carried out by his deputy, Natalia Mogol.
