Today the zoo is home to about 1,000 animals of various species from all continents, including Antarctica. One of the most popular areas is a picturesque pond with swans, wild ducks and storks. A playground is equipped for children.

In May the zoo works according to the updated schedule: ticket offices are open from Tuesday to Sunday from 09:00 to 19:00, Monday is a sanitary day.

The tickets cost 30 lei for adults and 5 lei for children, students, pensioners and persons with disabilities of II and III groups. For children up to 7 years old and persons with disabilities of group I the entrance is free of charge. Guided tours cost 50 lei for a group of up to 15 people.

We would like to remind you that the Parliament has recently adopted a new law on zoosThe law introduces norms on animal welfare, captive breeding programs and management of collections of wild species.

Under the new provisions, each zoo will be required to obtain a permit to operate, maintain official animal registers and participate in educational and scientific programs.

Currently, the only officially operating zoo in Moldova is the Chisinau Zoo, which already maintains animal registers and participates in educational and scientific projects. The new law primarily creates a legal framework for private mini-zoos and contact farms.
