“Patient Voice” – a new online platform where you can talk about your concerns

The "Voice of the Patient" (Vocea Pacientului) platform was officially launched in the Republic of Moldova. This is a new tool for assessing the quality of medical services, taking into account the opinion of patients.

Through the platform, any patient will be able to talk about their treatment experience, assess the quality of services and express their level of satisfaction with medical care. This mechanism, called the “trust mechanism”, will be implemented throughout the country – in all public hospitals, including departmental institutions.

As Health Minister Emil Ceban noted, the modernization of medicine is not only about infrastructure and equipment, but first and foremost about the quality of services, which is determined by the experience of patients.

“For us, digitalization is not an end in itself, but a tool that simplifies processes and makes the system closer to citizens. The platform benefits both parties: patients get a safe space to express their experience, and healthcare institutions get access to real-time data that allows for a better understanding of the situation, the conditions of service delivery and the state of the healthcare system,” the minister said.

Ceban urged patients to use the website voceapacientului.md and contribute to the improvement of health services. He also appealed to the heads of medical institutions to take this feedback as a real working tool and to actively integrate it into the internal processes of optimizing medical activity.

The initiative is being implemented by the Ministry of Health with the support of the Swiss government, together with the Red Cross and Casmed, and is part of the 2025-2030 healthcare digitalization program.

“For Switzerland, this event has a special significance. Our more than 20 years of cooperation in the healthcare sector is aimed at creating a more sustainable, efficient and people-centered system. Today we see these principles translated into concrete tools adopted at the national level,” said Guido Beltrani, Director of the Swiss Cooperation Office in Moldova, at the launching ceremony of the Patient Voice platform.
