Previously, children’s amusement rides were located in this area, but over time they became a danger to both the surrounding community and visitors.
“Taking into account that certain types of activities have historically already been established here, we decided not to change them radically, but only to streamline and regulate them, preserving their specifics and history. We are talking, first of all, about sports activities. We want this zone to get a new breath and a modern vision, while keeping its sports orientation”, – said Moldexpo General Director Zinaida Popa at the press conference.
At the first stage, four main zones will be put out to tender:
– five padel courts;
– a zone for pickleball and badminton;
– a gastronomic zone;
– a pamp track for skateboards, bicycles and scooters.
A complete reconstruction of the above areas is planned: unused or potentially dangerous areas will be transformed into modern sports facilities, and the natural terrain will be utilized for dynamic urban activities.
“We look forward to constructive, proactive and effective cooperation. Only by working together can we realize meaningful and sustainable projects for the community,” added Zinaida Popa.
Bids will be accepted both online and in physical form until May 8, 15:00. The tender will take place on May 11, 13:00 in Moldexpo building, in the conference hall of the administrative building.
