This is good for Moldovan farmers. The weather conditions are finally, almost for the first time since November, favorable for the completion of harvesting the second group of field crops. Earlier, Logos Press wrote that in the northern regions of the country about 50% of corn fields and about 35-38% of beet fields remain unharvested.
Agronomists note that a week of moderate (about as predicted) frost is needed for the normal pace of the last stage of the harvesting campaign and to prevent spoilage of the remaining crop. No thaws.
Consequently, some farmers still have a chance to spend the pre-holiday week in the field, in an attempt to save their earnings.
