The document establishes the framework for granting, reviewing, and revoking this agency’s accreditation, as well as the rules governing its administration of the National Fund for Agricultural and Rural Development. The regulations also provide for measures to ensure transparency, internal control, and accountability in AIPA’s operations in accordance with European standards.

The regulations also define the role of the Ministry of Agriculture as the managing authority responsible for the accreditation and ongoing monitoring of AIPA.

Accreditation is a necessary step toward strengthening institutional capacity in the management of the Rural Development Budget Fund and European funds for EU candidate countries.
