In this regard, the Ministry of Justice has established a working group tasked with finding solutions to retain judges and prosecutors within the system. The group includes representatives from the Ministry of Justice, the High Council of the Judiciary, the High Council of Prosecutors, and the National Institute of Justice.
The working group will develop measures to encourage an influx of professionals into the field and to enhance the prestige of careers in the judicial system and the prosecutor’s office among young professionals and law school graduates.
Experts will analyze the legal framework governing the appointment of judges and prosecutors, identify solutions to improve existing mechanisms, and develop proposals for legislative changes, if necessary.
Participants in the working group’s first meeting analyzed the main challenges facing the judiciary, including the training process at the National Institute of Justice, barriers to entering the profession, selection timelines, and so on.
The Ministry of Justice notes that the proposals developed by the working group will form the basis for measures to strengthen human resources in the judicial system and improve the quality of the administration of justice.
