According to the Chisinau City Hall, the first thematic meeting was organized by the General Directorate of Architecture, Urban Planning, and Land Relations, which serves as the agency responsible for coordinating the plan’s update process.
The meeting was attended by members of the Monitoring Group, representatives of local and central government bodies, the academic and professional communities, and civil society, as well as representatives of the ARHICON Consortium and the INFOERA Public Association.
The Monitoring Group will oversee the master plan update process, ensure compliance with legal and methodological frameworks, formulate recommendations on the prepared documentation, and facilitate dialogue between government agencies, project developers, the professional community, and civil society.
The ARHICON Consortium presented the current stage of the city plan update and the next steps, as well as the first two supporting studies submitted for public discussion: “Mobility and Transportation” and “Territorial Cooperation.”
The first public debates on these studies will take place on August 5, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the “Center” District Administration (43 Bulgare St.), with the option for citizens to participate both in person and online. Proposals may be submitted from July 15 through August 19, 2026.
