U.S. President Donald Trump’s team is continuing negotiations with Iran. These talks have not stopped, despite the fact that the American leader has publicly refused to engage in dialogue with Tehran.

RBC-Ukraine reports this, citing ABC News.

Journalists spoke with a White House official who spoke on condition of anonymity.

According to him, the U.S. and Iran are continuing technical negotiations to reach a final peace agreement.

Neither Donald Trump’s statement during the NATO summit in Ankara nor the large-scale exchange of strikes has affected this process in any way.

As is well known, on July 8, the U.S. president announced that the ceasefire with Iran had ended and that the memorandum of understanding had been canceled.

“I am no longer interested in negotiating with Iran,” Trump said at the time.

Nevertheless, Tehran and Washington continue to hold technical talks on nuclear issues.

“The U.S. remains committed to finding a solution, and technical talks are continuing. Iran will never be able to acquire nuclear weapons,” the insider said.
