This is reported by the publication “Suspilne” with reference to an official of the European Commission, who voiced this information on condition of anonymity.

According to the official, Kiev has failed to fulfill two EU requirements for anti-corruption reforms. The first condition concerns an increase in the staff of the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court, the second – the procedure for vetting judges

As the publication notes, the European official mentioned “two steps” related to the fourth and fifth tranches, which were not completed on time. “The amounts related to these tranches have been suspended. This means that they have not been paid yet,” the interlocutor of the publication explained.

The deadlines for disbursement of these funds are June 30 and September 29, 2026 respectively, the publication said.

The official specified that both EU demands concern anti-corruption reforms in Ukraine. As part of the fourth payment request, the condition that the staff of the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court should be increased, which corresponds to a tranche of almost €300m, remains unfulfilled.

The fifth payment request, in its turn, does not fulfill the condition concerning the entry into force of the legislation on the revision of declarations of integrity of judges and the procedure for their verification. If this step is fulfilled, Kiev should receive €380m, the publication said.
