TUV Austria opened a subsidiary in Moldova

Austrian company TUV, specializing in cybersecurity and compliance analysis, has opened a division in Moldova, the national investment attraction agency said.

TUV AUSTRIA Inspection Moldova will provide services for several economic sectors, including industry, agri-food, IT, infrastructure, energy, environment, trade and services.

“The group’s decision to formalize its presence in Moldova is part of a broader investment context. Data from the National Bank of Moldova shows that over the last 5 years Austria has been the number one investor in the Republic of Moldova in terms of new capital raised. Austrian equity capital has more than quadrupled, reaching $213 million (€183.2 million) by the end of 2024. Almost every fifth dollar of new equity capital that entered the Moldovan economy during this period came from Austria (22.2%),” Invest Moldova said in a press release.

TÜV Austria is an international group operating in testing, inspection, certification, auditing, cybersecurity, data protection, training and technical consulting. The group has more than 4,000 employees in 40 countries and provides services to industry, manufacturers, infrastructure operators, government agencies, healthcare organizations, academia and other categories of clients.
