
The announcement was made in a post addressed to the page’s followers, published in English, Romanian, and Russian. Representatives of the organization thanked the community for its interest in the work being carried out in the Republic of Moldova and invited users to continue following the initiatives and projects being implemented in the region on the World Bank’s “Europe and Central Asia” page.
“Dear followers, we thank you for your interest in the World Bank Group’s work in Moldova. This page is being closed. If you would like to stay informed about our efforts in Europe and Central Asia, please follow the World Bank’s ‘Europe and Central Asia’ page,” reads the message published by the organization.
The World Bank did not provide an explanation for this decision or specify whether it is part of a broader process to reorganize its online communication channels.
However, the institution stated that information about projects and programs being implemented in the Republic of Moldova will continue to be published on the regional page dedicated to Europe and Central Asia.
